Thomas F. Roeser is a Chicago based artist who has been drawing and painting since early childhood.   Thomas received private oil painting instruction as a teen and studied at The American Academy of Art in Chicago.   He mainly attributes his artistic skills to his propensity to have a work in progress on his easel at all times throughout a lifetime of creating art.

Thomas has long been influenced by the paintings of Edward Hopper, Andrew Wyeth, John Singer Sargent and the works of the Photorealists, such as Richard Estes and Ralph Goings.  Living in a city renown for its architecture instills in Thomas the inspiration to paint urban life.  That stimulation informs the subjects of his paintings,  whether they take place in Chicago or in his travels around the world.

Thomas has been involved in many art shows and exhibitions over the years, including the Around the Coyote Art Festival in Chicago, the Old Orchard Art Fair in Skokie, IL, the ArtPrize Exhibition in Grand Rapids, MI, among many others.  He has received many commissions to create original art work and portraiture.
